By choosing this experience, we’ll depart from our meeting point in Locorotondo
and pedal toward Martina Franca through the beautiful countryside and uncrowded back roads. Completely immersed in nature, among vineyards and olive groves, you will see part of the splendid Itria Valley, famous for its locally produced white wine and olive oil. We’ll stop at scenic spots to take some photos, and you’ll discover the thousand-year history of the Trulli and Cummerse (typical buildings of this geographical area). An olive oil tasting accompanied by typical products in an ancient underground mill will enrich your experience. The owner of the building, now a museum, will explain the history of the mill and the ancient techniques of processing and producing oil. After the visit, we will cycle to the historic center of Martina Franca with its splendid Baroque buildings and churches for some historical information. We will then take another secondary road to return to Locorotondo and visit its historic center before concluding our day.
